Our halal certificate stayed with our old facility.
We've moved production to a new site. In Malaysia, halal certification is granted to a specific premises — not to a brand or a recipe — so ours did not move with us. Here is exactly where things stand.
What happened
We had to leave our previous production facility at short notice. Our certificate was issued to that address, and it ended when we left it.
Re-application can only start once the new facility is complete and ready for inspection. There is no shortcut for a change of premises, and we aren't looking for one. We could have said nothing and waited for the paperwork to catch up. We'd rather you heard it from us first.

Where we are now
JAKIM's standard is one we respect. It exists so that a certificate means something, and meeting it properly takes the time it takes. We're working through the process in the order it requires.
We're not going to give you a date we can't stand behind. When the certificate is back in our hands, you'll hear it here first.

Questions we've been asked
Has anything about the product itself changed?
No. Same milk, same herd, same suppliers, same process, same people. The change is our address and the certificate attached to it.
When will the certificate be back?
We don't know yet, and we won't guess. Re-application can only begin once the new facility is ready for inspection, and the timeline after that isn't ours to set. We'll post the moment it's confirmed.
Can I still order in the meantime?
Yes, deliveries are running as normal. Whether that's the right choice for your household is yours to make, and we'd rather you made it with the full picture.
What happens to my subscription if I pause?
Your slot is held and nothing is charged while you're paused. Message us whenever you want it restarted.
Why tell us at all?
Because you'd want to know. We built this brand on not hiding things, and that has to hold when the news is inconvenient for us.
